How to create Essay Question Type?

The Essay question type allows administrators to create descriptive questions that assess a candidate's understanding, analytical thinking, and written communication skills. It is suitable for subjective examinations, assignments, interviews, and written assessments.

How to Create an Essay Question:

  • Log in to the ThinkExam Admin Panel.
  • Navigate to the Question module.
  • Click the Add button



    1. Select the following Question Entry Options:
    • Subject
    • Topic
    • Question Type – Essay




    Fields Available
    • Essay Title: Enter the title or heading of the Essay.
    • Essay Code: A unique identifier for the Essay (Auto generated).
    • Essay Entry Options: Enter the complete Essay, using the rich text editor.

    1. Once all the required details have been entered, click the Save button to save the current essay question. To continue creating additional essay, click Save & New.

    Note: It is recommended to use the Essay question type when uploading questions through an Excel file.
